Which ones support synchronization of folder trees and copying multiple entire folders including their contents?

I have no direct experience using Verbatim Media Share. As for video streaming, it would rely on several components; the speed of the actual storage, the hub, the number of connected devices, the app (codec) and the end point (tablet or smartphone).

I know from using my first generation iPad that it would still hold a steady stream with no frame lost. On the other hand, with my old Windows tablet running Windows 7, streaming the same video, I can see considerable jittering.

I would imagine 3rd party apps should work just as well.

Do let us know how you get on with the Verbatim.

In fact it’s difficult to find these devices in my country, EasyAcc and RavPower unfortunately don’t exist here, and the other ones you can find few around the big cities.

So the ‘most popular’ devices here are Verbatim and Kingston devices, Sandisk too, and the one you recomend too: Seagate 1TB wireless device, but this one here is very expensive, almost unaffordable.

So, following your recomendation, I will buy the Verbatim one that I think it suits my 80-90% needs. But on the other hand, I read some user reviews and the only thing I’m afraid of is that they say it lacks of performance when playing/streaming movies and the solution is to copy the movie file to the tablet/phone and play it from there (mmhh I don’t like that).

I have movies in mp4 format, with srt subtitles, I don’t remember their resolution but if it helps you to understand, each movie file weights about 1.4gb and some weight less (700mb).

So, what’s your experience playing movies in the Verbatim device? And my last question is if I use the 3rd party apps you mentioned (FTPCafe, VLC, etc), it’s not necessary to install the original Verbatim app?

For Multimedia Playback: VLC (iOS and Android), OPlayer and OPlayer Lite (iOS and Android).

a) I need to backup multimedia files from 2 cell phones and a tablet (Android all of them) and free up some memory from those devices.

b) I also have an external USB HDD 500gb that I have all my backup files stored in there, such as docs, photos, videos and movies. So I’d like to make a bridge between this HDD and mobile devices to save photos and also to play movies from HDD (mkv, avi, mp4, etc).

c) Watch movies in my tablet during a trip.

There’s another more expensive than these devices: Sandisk wireless media drive that besides it is a reliable multimedia player it does not support external HDD connection (bridge). So what device do you recommend? Thank you.
