You make camera awesome sound like the greatest app ever. When I go to the play store I find it is not only not free but it has only a 3-star rating – which is pretty bad for the play store. Also, for an app that supposedly has over six million users there were startlingly few reviews.

Jim, thank you for sharing. Agree that 3.4 star rating on the Play store is pretty bad. This is definitely a paid app on Google Play so thanks again for pointing this out. We checked on iTunes and it is still FREE to iOS users. A quick look at the reviews on Apple’s iTunes indicate that there is a problem with its video capture capabilities where it is not capturing sound on devices running the iOS7. This according to SmugMug is fixed in version 1.1.8. Guess there are some glitches that they were slow to fix on their app. At the time of writing it had an All Versions rating of 4.5 stars (based on 1561 users) but for its current version, only 2.5 stars (based on 12 ratings).
